IC
Name: Tamaki Suoh
Canon: Ouran High School Host Club
Canon point: End of the anime
Age: 17

History: Fandom Wiki

Personality:
(+) CONGENIAL
Tamaki is extremely personable when you encounter him, be you a man or woman, child or adult. Whoever you are, he's going to sweet talk you, treat you well — he's got the money to spend to make you happy (well, usually), the looks to make you swoon, and the silky soft words that will make you want to listen to him forever. Normally, it can be assumed that people like this are looking to get something out of their niceties; quid pro quo. Tamaki, however, genuinely wants to make people smile and offer them a good experience. Whether it be doing nice things for them or whispering sweet nothings to them, Tamaki is always willing and wanting to make someone's day.

(+) COMPASSIONATE
Tamaki goes a level-deeper than just being pleasant to be around. A host by nature with a princely personality type, Tamaki is very much focused on how other people feel and what they need to be happy. It matters immensely to Tamaki that he make sure that he and the other hosts put in efforts to actually help others. He's emotionally helped every member of the club in some way or another; being together is basically the best thing that's ever happened to every host.

(+) DEDICATION
While some may get the impression that Tamaki is a ridiculous buffoon, he's actually quite serious when it comes to things that truly count and matter. He's an intelligent student (second in his grade), a gifted athlete, and conscious of what is required of him were he to ever actually become a recognized heir to his father. Being born with a silver spoon in your mouth comes with its own set of hardships, and Tamaki knows of these all too well — whether he's conscious of his own, or just how many sacrifices his friends have to make in order to be a part of their lineages.

(-) EGOTISTICAL
Tamaki thinks extremely highly of himself — and his opinions of himself aren't totally inaccurate. He is beautiful, he is the model host, he's a charming young man who can knock any young lady's socks off. But it does get annoying to listen to him preen narcissistically, and his inflated ego is sometimes at the detriment of others. While most of the hosts are blind to their privilege and unaware of (or just don't care about) their narcissism, Tamaki is certainly an extreme case. How he's perceived by others is very important to him, as his cultivated image is one that he's very proud of.

(-) EMOTIONALLY NAIVE
For as booksmart as he is, Tamaki is extremely emotionally unintelligent — well, at least when it comes to himself and how others perceive him. He can very easily read someone else's relationship and see a path to give them a happy ending, but his own emotional feelings towards others are compartmentalized and masked. Everyone he feels strongly about is given a play family role, which makes it easier for his brain to understand more complicated relationship dynamics.

(-) FLAMBOYANT
Extravagance comes with being a rich kid, and especially one of the elites of the host club. However, Tamaki's extravagance doesn't stop at lavish decorations, clothes, food, etc. Even the host club gets annoyed at how extreme he can be in hobbies and obsessions (currently this includes the life of the common man and Japanese culture). He's also very interested in Japanese culture in general. He follows through host club plans (such as getting two people together, going on trips, collective events) in completely over the top ways. When he's happy, he's spinning and floating and crying and screaming. When he's angry or sad, he's comatose, he's a shell of himself, he's shouting at volumes man has never known.

Powers/Abilities: creating a backdrop of roses wherever he goes He's a normal human teenager, nothing supernatural about him!

Regret: While he does like his life and knows what he must do to fulfill his duties as son and member of the Suoh family, Tamaki regrets not staying with his mother in France, as he now doesn't know how or where she is.

Inventory: His stuffed bear, a notebook full of commoner notes and a half-eaten bag of Japanese snack chips.
